Choosing baby nursery bedding is fun and exciting. From the wide selection of bedding to choose from, selecting the perfect one for your baby girl is not hard to do. Whatever choice you may select, it is important that it gives her good care and protection.
Go for crib bedding that is good quality because you cannot afford to put your baby at risk. The baby’s crib serves as her bed and her playhouse at the same time. Your baby stays there most of the time, so it is crucial that she is comfortable and at ease.
Aside from that, nursery bedding must be made from soft and smooth cotton for added comfort. Bearing these ideas in mind, choose the bedding that goes best for your precious little daughter. These are some great ideas to consider in picking the right baby girl bedding.
Girly: Select pastel colors to have a girly look for your baby girl’s bedding. You can use those designed with flowers, butterflies, and princesses. You can also have those with laces, ribbons, or bows to make the cot more beautiful and appealing. These will help your bedding look lighter and more comfortable for your baby daughter.
Retro Bedding: Brown? Huh? Yeah, in case you haven’t known, the 70s are back in style. Not just flares either. We are talking about the colors! Pink, brown and lime green, that is. Maybe you like tans and lavenders with a little lime green and yellow. Stripes? Finding that cute little stylish (but 70s) look has never been easier!!
Cute Little Teddy Bears in Colorful Bows: One of the prettiest themes is teddy bears. There are plenty of quilts with teddies and you could decorate the nursery with bows of different colors. Then buy a teddy style lamp and soft toys to decorate the nursery. Teddies are known for being cuddly and soft toys for children. Bedding with teddy prints will surely make your baby’s bedding fun and playful to look at. Aside from that, they come in some lovely colors that will ensure your baby girl’s crib is lively and attractive.
When it comes to finding that perfect baby girl bedding, we think that you have what it takes! There are various ideas that you can go by, but always put comfort before style!.

Tips for Choosing Maternity Nightwear

Plenty of pregnant women spend a long time planning their maternity wardrobes – for example, evening wear, pregnancy dresses, workwear. However, they often focus entirely on their daywear options and forget all about maternity nightwear until suddenly they can no longer struggle into their pre-pregnancy pyjamas and are left to spend the remainder of their pregnancy sleeping in uncomfortable oversize t-shirts.
I think it’s time to prioritise maternity sleep wear. While there’s no easy way to get a good night’s sleep when you are months away from expecting a baby, high quality and comfortable clothing will help you relax a little more while offering some style to your maternity loungewear wardrobe. Most maternity sleepwear is made with nursing access for use after you’ve given birth and makes a very good long-term investment. Here is my maternity sleep wear checklist:
Size: Just like the rest of your maternity wardrobe, pyjamas and maternity nighties should be bought in your pre-pregnancy size unless you have gained more than the average 25-35 pounds. Also, if you are carrying twins or more, you may need to go up a size (or two!).
Comfort: Many pregnant women experience trouble sleeping at some point during their pregnancy. While there in’t anything you can do about an energetic baby who likes to dance throughout the night, or the early days when you seem to be always taking trips to the bathroom, you can choose to buy maternity sleep wear with comfort in mind, so it’s not your clothing which is giving you sleepless nights!
Jersey cotton is a great fabric for comfortable nightwear and also for pyjamas which can be worn as loungewear for padding around the house to relax in. Personally I prefer to wear maternity pyjamas because of their double use as loungewear and as they are cozier to wear during the night in colder months if you are up and about. Watch out too for tops with built in support for extra ease – some styles use built-in cups and others a fabric “shelf” both work well.
Multi-purpose: Maternity nightwear is intended to be used after birth and is constructed to allow for easy night time feeding via clever designing. Look out for clever wrap-over style pyjama tops. Another alternative is to choose button through pyjama tops which again give fast access.
Style: Forget the unfashionable nightclothes of yesteryear, modern maternity sleepwear adds style to comfort and is available in some beautiful patterns. Look out for the glamourous designs from HotMilk, including camisole tops, wide leg trousers and vibrant shades and patterns including duck egg blue and rich plum.
So, to summarise, look for maternity sleep wear in comfortable materials designed for use after the birth. Remember if you select pyjamas, they make good loungewear choices too. But remember to buy a style you love!
