Pregnant – Starting Your Plans Early

Being pregnant is the most natural thing in the world and happens to almost every female (and males, in certain animal kingdoms) on the planet. This is a common occurrence and yet not so common in the sense that each pregnancy is a unique experience.
But how do you know you are pregnant? As in everything else, there are signs to look out for. These signs usually come on about a month after conception. The first one is that you miss your monthly menstruation. The second is that you feel nauseous. As a first timer, you may not be aware, but not to other females usually. Experienced ones will be able to tell right away. More signs are getting easily irritated, an appetite loss and easily tired.
Nearly everyone who is pregnant will not be menstruating at that time and most people will be feeling nauseous. The other signs are less ‘pre-requisite’ although most women will experience these symptoms. It is only a matter of which degree these are experienced.
If you are planning to get pregnant, do take a close look at the current life-style that you are leading. Mentally go through your diet and such. It is advisable that your new life-style takes place three months ahead of expecting. However, six months is even better as this gives you more leeway, as you can imagine.
This is not a long duration if it is a major revamp. The other factor that influences the time taken is your adaptability. Are you a slow or fast adaptor? And do not mistake this as being similar to completing a physical task such as cooking a meal. This involves a change in habits and this may have emotional implications. In other words, it is not something that works well to being rushed. In fact, it has nothing to do with your perception of the speed of time; it has more to do with getting into the flow or your own personal rhythm. Of course, you have previously established this, to some degree at least.
Assuming that you have areas that call for change, which is the most pressing area? The most pressing area is the one that call you the loudest and therefore, it makes sense to tackle this one. If it seems daunting, tackle it a little at a time. Break down this ‘big’ area into small bits and your task suddenly seems doable right before your eyes.
For example, what is your sleeping and waking pattern? Are you always short of sleep? This deprivation is unnecessary from a natural point of view. Not having enough sleep affects the quality of waking experience. For an optimum life experience, sleep adequately and not only that, your sleep should be quality sleep. In other words, there is no point sleeping over eight hours if some of the time is spent sleeping fitfully because there are unresolved issues in your mind. Do you know that answers come to you while you are in deep sleep? Sleeping unwell helps you in nothing.
Start your planning before you are actually pregnant and you will be more than prepared when the special time comes. By the time your bundle of joy arrives, you will have been the person you have always wanted to be.
