Almost all of the new mother and father might have heard that the new clothes must be washed before the baby wears them. It is very uncommon that your baby is going to be seriously harmed by the new, unwashed clothes but a small irritation or allergy may occur within the babies’ sensitive skin.
Babies go through a great number of clothing changes in one day that a parents head literally spins after that. So to keep up with the countless clothe changing and also the growing laundry pile you’ve 2 choices to opt from.
One is to obtain enough baby clothes so that you can change several outfits in a day and has few more left to the next few days. The second one is to obtain fewer clothes and do the laundry several times in a week. Select the option which fits best with your budget and your schedule.
Some parents would rather use dye-free, scent-free detergents such as All Free & Clear or Tide Free to do laundry on the baby clothes; this will reduce the risk of skin allergies for the babies. In case your baby isn’t troubled using the clothes washed in the normal detergent then you don’t have to acquire special laundry soap just for the baby clothes you can still use the regular detergent used at home.
Pre-treating stains is an effective way to maintain the outfits looking like new. Baby diaper accidents, stains occurred caused by bright color baby food could be a difficult job to clear out. But taking out time before washing the clothes and working on the stains can provide you with better results.
If you’re not cleaning the outfits right away and let the stain remain on the outfit then try using a paste-type pretreatment that can sit on the fabric for up to a week. Otherwise, a spray-on stain treatment or washing additive should take care of most stains.
You also have to think about the size of baby clothes. Infants are often hypersensitive to sizing, try to wear clothes with them in the store and check if the baby is comfortable in all the ways.
