From a physician’s point of view, infertility can be diagnosed if a pair has been having unprotected sex without using any kind of contraceptive methods for more than a year, during the most fertile time period just before she ovulates each cycle, and they’ve yet to get pregnant. And although studies show there’s a 1 in 5 reasonable probability that the two partners are accountable for the failure to conceive, the chance that the male alone is accountable is greater than 50%. Male infertility is really a significant issue for any couple ready to get pregnant. Even if the man has a higher sperm count, that might not be enough to get her pregnant. Malformations of sperm can also be a problem, or low motility (low level of activity) speed, or simply not a sufficient amount to guarantee success.

Whether you select to get tests done to see which one (or both) of you is actually infertile, you will find methods to increase his potency, assist in the production of healthier sperm, get his sperm count quantities up, and improve the overall well being of his reproduction organs, by taking male fertility herbs.

A single explanation why the statistical figures tend to be up so high is the social lifestyle adjustments happening over the last few generations. Back in our parent’s day, the atmosphere was cleaner, clearly there was much less smog, people ate much better (read less processed foods) and took less doctor prescribed and over-the-counter medications. The life-style changes have caught up to us in our generation, and then we amplify it by working longer hours, take too much drugs, create tension, consume alcohol, smoke cigarettes as well as consume sodas and sweet beverages just like they won’t be making anymore after today. The physical effect from all of our chosen external forces places strains in your body that are hard to counter-act. Although not impossible.

Our bodies react to these external forces working over-time to fix the damage done in an attempt to restore the harmony the body had a long time ago. Accomplishing this requires the body to utilise saved crucial nutrients, necessary vitamins and minerals held in reserve. When those supplies are used up, the energy of work our entire body does to balance itself decelerates and things begins to not work quite right. Male infertility is one of those important things which can go wrong. The male body begins producing ill-formed sperm, or sperm which can’t move very quick, or just not that much. When this occurs, it time to consider using male fertility herbs. Taking them isn’t brain surgery or some magical pill, but a blended formula of all natural herbs that contain healing properties that include the nutrients you are lacking. Simply by taking these male fertility all natural herbs you replenish the nutrients your body is desiring so it can start to fix and restore the harmony it requires to help make you more fertile. Are You Fertile? You Can Now Answer This Accurately

You can actually monitor and time your sexual intercourse to be in sync with the most fertile time of the month. There are three ways to identify the most fertile days of your menstrual cycle and increase the likelihood of successfully starting a pregnancy. These three methods are natural ways of predicting the time for conception and answering the question Are you fertile? You can monitor your fertility easily through the three fertility markers – namely the cervical fluid test, the cervical position identification and the basal body temperature.

One way to answer your question Are you fertile is the vaginal secretions as it usually signifies fertility. You may want to learn more about it to help you understand when the perfect timing is. This secretion could be the cervical mucus which is actually secreted by the cervix. This secretion is produced in large quantities during the menstrual cycles but is kept at a minimum quantity after the period is over, causing the woman to feel dry.

The normal consistency of the cervical mucus during the start of the menstruation is cloudy and thick. When the cycle is in the middle period, the mucus turns into clear, slippery, and stretchy mucus, just like the consistency of an egg white. This is an indication that you are getting fertile.

You yourself can do the checking of your own mucus so that you can determine the changes personally. With the use of your hands, make sure it’s clean, gently wipe your vagina and look carefully at the mucus collected in your hands. The mucus should be in the consistency of a stretchy and elasticity with a clear color to be able to say that you are fertile. If this is what the mucus shows at such a certain time of the month, then you can answer the question ‘Are you fertile?’ accurately.

The second way to answer the question ‘Are you fertile’ is to check the position of the cervix. Although this has not been realized, the cervix does changes position during the cycle. At the end of the period, you can check its position. You can do this daily to monitor when fertility is at its peak.

The normal position of the cervix at the start of the cycle is in low position. As the cycle goes to its end, the cervix begins to get to a higher position. To check its position, you can insert your clean finger and feel your cervix. The tissue that feels rounded cylindrical mass is the cervix.

Another way to answer the question ‘are you fertile’ is by measuring the basal body temperature (BBT). BBT is the body’s baseline temperature. Any increase in the temperature, even by half a Fahrenheit can indicate something about your fertility. BBT is normally lower at the earlier part of the cycle. On the day of the ovulation, the temperature increases slightly. It will then stay at that level until the start of the next cycle or continue to stay slightly elevated if you become pregnant.

The basal body temperature should be taken first thing in the morning before doing any activity, even before getting out of bed. An oral thermometer can be used. This should be done with the utmost care to get the desired results. Taking a quick sip of water will clearly throw off your result. Chart your results and overtime you will begin to see the natural fluctuations of your body’s temperature as you go through your cycle and be better able to help determine when you are most fertile.

These are the three natural and easy ways that you can do to monitor your fertility to help you answer your question Are you fertile? Using these three methods can be helpful, but by just doing the right procedure of even only one of these can give you assurance of a possible pregnancy. The more you understand your body and the changes that happen on it will help you get the perfect timing for fertility for a successful pregnancy. These simple steps can be the ways to give answers to your question Are you fertile? And you can be happy with your right timing of pregnancy.

Make Room For One More Fertility Robber

August 10, 2010 by Rhonda Shanahan

Scientists have stepped up their research about chemicals and environmental hazards that can impact a woman trying to conceive. The list is longer than any of us would like to see. Well, It is time to make room for one more fertility robber. Now, we can add polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) to the list of potential threats.

PBDEs are chemicals used to make many of our everyday household items flame retardant. These items include electronics, fabrics, carpets, plastics, and foam furniture. Vehicle seats, car seats, and office furniture also contain PBDEs. The journal Environmental Health Perspectives did a recent study of 223 pregnant women. The women that had the highest concentration of PBDEs in their blood took much longer to become pregnant.

You may be wondering what the heck women having trouble conceiving are supposed to do then. Most people have all the household items I just mentioned. This is an understandable concern. Because of the studies and findings on PBDEs most manufacturers are eliminating them. Keep in mind that items produced before 2004 show higher concentrations of these chemicals. If you are trying to get pregnant get rid of these items. They may be slowing down conception.

Inspect foam items and throw them out if the covers are not intact. Use a HEPA filtered vacuum to trap tiny particles, contaminants, and allergens from your house. Remove the carpet padding when getting rid of your carpet. Keep the padding isolated and pick up scraps with the HEPA vacuum. Purchase natural or latex foam, leather, wool and cotton products. Ask before purchasing used items. Avoid anything treated with brominated fire retardants. Eliminating these items may increase fertility.

However, getting rid of your old furniture may not be enough. An early study on PBDEs determined that certain foods have these chemicals also. Some dairy products, fatty meats, and fish contain PBDEs. Fatty tissues easily absorb the chemicals.

According to the University Of Texas School Of Public Health in Dallas fish contains the highest amount of these chemicals. The next highest are meats and dairy comes in last. Non-fat dairy has no detectable PBDE levels. 97 percent of Americans have detectable levels of PBDEs in their blood. If getting pregnant is important to you the numbers are not on your side.

Unfortunately, the best women can do is slow down PBDEs through conscious diet and living space choices. There is some unbelievable information to keep women aware of environmental hazards like this one and pregnancy. The Program on Reproductive Health and the Environment (PRHE) at the University of California, San Francisco has plenty of documentation to read.

Is There Any Possible Way Of Getting Pregnant During Period?

July 18, 2010 by Stacey Lee

Any woman may have a chance of getting pregnant during period. Pregnancy occurs when female ovaries release an egg. This egg merges with a male sperm in the process of having sex. This merging causes fertilization to take place and an embryo starts to form inside the womb.

For pregnancy to occur, the woman must be ovulating at the time meaning she is fertile. The menstrual cycle determines the period of ovulation. Menstruation is when the uterine wall is shed off if fertilization does not take place. This is shed off to make the uterus ready for the next ovulation. Menstruation gets out in form of blood through the vagina.

Ovulation happens about two weeks from the 1st day of onset of period. This mainly is for a woman who has a cycle of 28 days. The duration of the monthly cycle is the total days from when the period begins to a day prior to the beginning of the following period.

The time that the woman ovulates can however vary. Ovulation can occur between the tenth and nineteenth day after menstruation begins. There are ladies whose cycle is 21 days. There are others whose monthly cycle is 35 days or even more. For such women, calculation of their accurate monthly cycle may not be possible at times.

There is a possibility of conceiving during periods. The days before ovulation are counted using a monthly cycle of 28 days. It is assumed that ovulation will occur after a fortnight. However, this happens in less than 70% of the women. Even those with such regular cycles still experience changes occasionally.

Women having a cycle of 21 or 35 days may ovulate earlier or later than they expect. Therefore, no method is 100% in calculating the actual date of ovulation. A woman may therefore assume she is on her safe days while she isn’t.

On top of that, women are fertile for a period of about seven days every month. It is possible for sperms to live for about one week in the cervix while ovum can live for 24 hours or more. It means that she can become pregnant because the sperms can still be alive when the egg is released.

The length of the menstrual flow is usually 3 to 7 days. Some women menstruate for longer periods and this eats into their safe days. If such women have sex while they are menstruating, there are chances of getting pregnant.

There is a chance of getting pregnant during period for any woman who practices unprotected sex. It is not possible for her to be 100% certain of her infertile or fertile days. This is due to the fact that her ovulation period varies time after time.

In our fast paced society, more and more women are experiencing fertility issues. Spending years on birth control while we build careers, smoking, and drinking can all have an impact on fertility in women.

Trying to conceive can be a disappointing experience, and most women do not conceive during their first few tries. So don’t panic, chances are that you are not actually infertile, and there are steps you can take to improve your fertility.

If you are thinking of conceiving a child, you’ll want to begin with a trip to the doctor. It is important to be in the best health possible before you conceive, and if you do have ailments that are interfering with conception, early detection may provide you with options.

You will also need to be familiar with your own menstrual cycle. Don’t obsess about it, as this can actually cause stress that interferes with your cycle. Just start keeping a calendar.

Some women will actually identify when they are most fertile by checking the thickness of their cervical fluid or taking their temperature daily. Others just use a calendar to track their menstrual cycle. Most women will ovulate in the middle of their monthly cycle.

If you smoke or take narcotics, you should stop prior to your fertility efforts. You need to be in the best health possible. Talk to your doctor about cessation programs if necessary.

While most women know that these substances are damaging to the fetus, many women don’t realize that they also make it harder to conceive, so you should quit prior to trying to get pregnant.

The most important factor in actually being able to conceive is probably actually having sex. While this may seem obvious, it is very important to have sex often while trying to conceive.

Follow these tips and discuss them with your doctor and you may improve your chances of conceiving significantly.

If so, then chances are you do not know about the existence of gender selection methods.

Gone are the days when you have to “hope and pray” that you have a little girl or boy. Today, with the help of certain gender selection methods, you may be able to increase your chances by thirty to thirty five percent. Does this sound too good to be true, Well, relax, it is a reality for many people.

Many of the selection methods that are used when it comes to pregnancy depend on IVF in order to complete the whole process. The IVF is only going to increase your chances of becoming pregnant by thirty to thirty five-percent. For some people that is better than it being zero percent.

Only one method can claim having an almost 100 percent rate when it comes to gender selection methods. Referred to as pre-implantation genetic diagnosis or PGD, you should take note that the PGD method has been banned in many countries and is reserved for people with medical problems.

While the odds of having a baby of the sex you may want is greatly increased due to the fact that the embryo is screened prior to implantation into the uterus, you still have to become pregnant using IVF. As a result, you still have only a 30-35% chance of pregnancy using this method.

Take note that there are alternative ways that you can use in order to select the gender of your baby. Maybe Baby? Finding the Right Nutrition for Your Pregnancy

Newspapers have been writing a lot about fertility and the fact that more and more women are making a choice to start a family in their 30′s or 40′s. Girls these days are highly likely to have a high flying career and be considering town trips, shoe shopping and sports autos, and a lot less about Mothercare, changing nappies, and pushing carts.

The average age for giving birth in the UK is going up about two months every year. The average age in 2007 was 29.3 years compared with 28.6 years in 2001. Statistics show that the average lady under thirty will get pregnant within the first 6 months and those in their early thirty’s may take up to and longer than nine months. From 35 onwards it might take one year.

Some girls are spending plenty of cash attempting to increase their possibilities of conceiving naturally, but this may be a needless cost. Lord Robert Winston, pioneer of IVF treatment, told the Daily Mail that ladies who freeze their eggs to obstruct parenthood are being given false hopes by fertility clinics. He is going on to say that this does not in any way guarantee that a women will become pregnant or go on to have a healthy baby.

So without ditching the thrilling lifestyle what can you do to help turbo-charge your wellbeing for that ‘maybe baby’ stage? Being healthy is far easier than you might think. Here are a few tips

For her :

Iron

Most ladies recognize iron as an important mineral for good health. Despite this knowledge, iron deficiency is regarded the most common nutritive deficiency and the most influenced group are ladies of child-bearing age. Studies have shown that even delicate deficiencies of iron are linked to reduced fertility. It appears that a deficiency of iron may perform a part in ovulatory dysfunction. Take daily Iron supplements ( look for non-constipating form )

Essential trans acids

The force on girls to remain slim has lead to many women adopting very low fat diets. Unfortunately, this pattern of eating is related to a decline in fertility. The necessary trans-acids ( found in nuts, seeds and oily fish ) have many functions throughout the body, including balancing the hormones concerned in fertility. Try Omega 3-6-9 capsules with a mix of prime quality fish, flax and borage oil.

Multivitamin and mineral formula

A multivitamin and mineral formula has for some time been regarded as a measure for general wellness and as health insurance. Studies now suggest that a multivitamin formula could also be of use for maintaining fertility in women. Studies in the latter 90s proved that ladies who constantly took a multivitamin formula, were less sure to be infertile due to ovulatory failure than people who didn’t. Similarly, the more frequent and regular the supplements were taken, the better the results .

Vitamin D3

Vitamin D3 ( sometimes called the sunshine vitamin ) could augment the fertility of girls afflicted with ovulation Problems. One in 5 women suffer with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome ( PCOS ) and can have a lesser chance of conception at a later age. Researchers at Yale school college of medication ( 2008 ) concluded ladies with ovulation problems or PCOS were much more sure to be low in vitamin D.

Try 1000iu D3 supplement

For him :

Your better half should be thinking along the same lines as you when it comes to living healthily. Sperm count and motility plays a particularly significant part in the act of making an attempt to become pregnant. Why do all of the hard work when your other half plays an equal part in the middle of conception? current figures ( from Norwich Union Healthcare in 2005 ) show that 2.5 million men suffer from sterility in the UK. Male infertility may account for as much as a 3rd of Problems with conception so it is important that your man takes similar steps to you to keep himself and his sperm in tip top health.

Zinc

Zinc is clearly one of the most vital nutrients needed for fertility, particularly for men. Studies show that a low zinc intake corresponds with a low sperm count and poor sperm motility.

Vitamin C

As an antioxidant, vitamin C is essential for good health. For men, this nutrient plays a particular role in augmenting fertility. Research has shown that vitamin C may help to reduce the clumping together of sperm and thus reinforces sperm motility. Additionally, vitamin C usually reinforces sperm quality and protects the DNA contained within it from damage.
