Pregnancy Timeline Support
I am 16 weeks pregnant with my first child. People react differently to pregnancy and early on in the pregnancy timeline I found it difficult. A lot of people do struggle so dont worry if you feel the same. I hope that by telling my story it will help you a bit.
When my partner and I found out I was pregnant we were over the moon. It was something that we both wanted. For the next couple of weeks I was quite anxious. I didn’t feel that pregnant to start with and I was worried something was wrong.
It didn’t take long before the pregnancy symptoms kick in. I have been told that the first 3 months is the hardest part of the pregnancy timeline and I think I agree. I was tired all the time and just lay on the couch after getting home from work until bedtime. You also have the morning sickness which can happen at any point of the day. Then you get the headaches and the backaches.
There were some days when I did feel all right and didn’t have to lie on the sofa all day. I would then panic, “what if something was wrong?” I would think again. As long as I felt pregnant I felt ok.
I was very nervous before going to my twelve week scan. Waiting in at the hospital was a nightmare. When I was called in and could see the baby on the screen I was very happy. He or she was jumping around on the screen and it was great to see.
As you know I am now at week 16 of the pregnancy timeline and I feel the best I have felt so far. I have energy and I’m not as grumpy (which my partner is happy about!). Now I am looking at things to buy for the baby. It is so much fun!
If you still are intrigued in how I am progressing then come to my pregnancy timeline blog. I would love for you to join me on my pregnancy timeline adventure.
Pregnancy – What Are The Early Signs?

So you have decided to start trying for a baby? It is an exciting time full of expectation and excitement. It is no wonder that you are anxious to find out if you are pregnant. Sometimes waiting for a home pregnancy test is just not feasible. You want to know sooner than a pregnancy test would indicate your results. Do not worry. You are not out of luck. There are several signs that you might be pregnant that appear far before you can take a home pregnancy test.
Most often missing a period is a good sign of pregnancy. These may include spotting or a light bleeding that occurs with the fertilization and implantation of an egg. This type of spotting may be brown or pink in coloring, yet many women may have a yellowish discharge. Generally, these signs can happen after five days from fertilization. Some women even have some light abdominal cramping as the embryo implants itself within the uterine wall. This can occur during the light spotting occurrence.
The body temperature may elevate during ovulation, this is common among many women. In fact, it is possible for your body temperature to stay elevated when an egg is fertilized, which is called elevated basal body temperature. It may only be a single degree change in temperature as well as less than this. However, it is a good indication of a successful conception.
Early signs of pregnancy can mirror the signs of an upcoming menstrual period. This is why some of these symptoms go unnoticed. However, hormone levels begin to change drastically when you are pregnant. One interesting change happening in your body is that of producing HCG or human chorionic gonadotropin. The this hormone causes you to feel the swelling tenderness in the breasts.
The dramatic increase in your bodies hormones can lead to things beyond breast tenderness. You may find that your body is needing to urinate more frequently. This is not a symptom that will go away as your pregnancy progresses. The truth is that as the baby grows it will start to put pressure onto your bladder which causes you to need to go to the bathroom more frequently.
The most obvious sign of pregnancy is a missed menstrual period. However, pregnancy is not the only reason that you could miss a period. Menstrual cycles can be disrupted because of stress, hormone imbalances, or illness. However, if you traditionally have a very consistent menstrual cycle it may be an indication that you are indeed expecting.
Since these various symptoms are possible signs of pregnancy, you will want to take a pregnancy test as soon as possible. However, you should know that home pregnancy tests are not always reliable. Therefore, when you are ready to find out if you are expecting a baby or not, you need to consult with your OB-GYN or family physician so he or she can give you a blood test to find out if you really are pregnant or not.

Points to Consider if you are Ready to Have a Baby

Just as soon as you move into your own place, parents will often ask if you are planning to get married. Once you do get married, then your parents start asking when you and your new spouse are planning to have their grandchildren. They look forward to having grandchildren to spoil, show off to their friends, then send home to you. Although grandchildren are wonderful, take note that you are the one that will be caring for your baby, regardless of how much support you receive from your parents. You need to be prepared.
Your current and future career plans are a major consideration when planning for a baby. Forming an established, prosperous career can take many hours of hard work. If this is your aspiration, you should endeavor to reach your career goals first and consider your family later. Many people are able to juggle the two effectively, so it will depend on your particular career demands.
What your spouse wants should be key to deciding on whether to wait for children or if you are ready now. Many times, one partner will want children now, while the other partner will want to wait for a period of time for whatever reason. It could be due to work commitments or that they just want to spend time with you for now. Regardless of the reasoning, communication is vital to your relationship, especially where babies an building a family are concerned.
Taking a serious look at your financial situation will help any misgivings later in starting your family. In the beginning of a marriage, young people may not have that much money so its important to decide what you consider a stable financial situation will be for your family and work to strive that before jumping right into having a baby. However, if you wait forever to get your finances straight, you may never have children. Just know where you are going with your finances and make your plans on how to get there, while including starting a family in those plans.
All parents want to give their children everything in their power, but it’s almost an impossible thing to do and could cause problems in the long run. If you decide you want to wait for a family until you have the perfect financial situation, you may be waiting forever, and never have children. It’s perfectly fine to wait though, until you and your spouse are ready. You want a child to bring love and joy to your life, rather than a feeling of feeling stuck and regretting that you had children too soon, or that you were not ready. Whatever you decide, the decision is yours, not your parents, family or friends. They will have to wait until you are ready.

There’s nothing better than surprising expectant or new parents with a memorable, thoughtful gift to celebrate their new baby. One of the most popular and unique gifts you can give is a customized new baby gift basket.
The best thing to do when planning to give a gift basket is to find out as much information as you can about the baby. For instance, knowing the baby’s gender will help you pick a colorful basket, as well as gender-specific clothing and toys. However, you must remember that ultrasound estimates for gender can be wrong, and if you want to avoid the possibility of buying or making a basket with the wrong gender items, it’s best to stick with neutral colors such as yellow, green, and beige.
Creating baby gift baskets are fun. The best baby gift baskets have both items the baby will enjoy and that are beneficial to parents as well. Start with a theme and colors. If you choose pink, then everything in the basket should match with pink. You could actually use shades of pinks and white.
If you want to jazz up your baby basket, you can always decide on using a theme. If you’re having trouble thinking of one, you might try something like “music.” A music-themed basket is great because you can include lots of goodies like musical toys and CD’s. Many babies find music very soothing, and it just might save the parents a bit of sanity to have some baby music on hand!
You can’t go wrong with baskets filled with other needed items like a thermometer, an assortment of socks, towels, and bottles. For entertainment, a baby gift basket could contain a nice keepsake picture frame or a few baby books.
Whatever your choice, you will make a wonderful impression with your unique baby gift baskets and the parents will be happy to receive anything that you deliver and will appreciate your kinds gesture.
Buying Baby Feeding High Chairs

Once your baby is ready to advance from bottle feeding to eating solid foods, you’ll need to purchase a feeding high chair. A high chair will make it much easier to feed your baby, since the baby is restrained and raised to a level that makes it much easier for mom to feed the baby without having to hold a squirmy baby in her lap.
There are so many choices available in the market when it comes to feeding high chairs and picking one is definitely not an easy thing to do. There are so many things which you need to consider when buying feeding high chairs. You need to take note of the price, safety, comfort and even the design of the feeding high chair.
Your budget is an important consideration when deciding on a feeding high chair to buy. While the pricing of feeding high chairs certainly varies, most fall into the range of $100 to $300. If you need to stick toward the cheaper end of the price range due to budget constraints, then you should consider looking for options online or visiting retail shops during sales and specials, where you can get as much as 50% off of full price on feeding high chairs. Of course, if your budget is unlimited, you’ll have many more options to choose from.
Your baby’s safety is another important aspect when it comes to feeding high chairs, especially since the chair elevates your baby high enough off the floor that an accidental fall could cause injury. Make sure you choose a feeding high chair with a sufficiently wide leg base for stability; avoid steep leg bases that can topple easily. Also make sure that you choose a model with a secure three or five point harness. A three point harness is usually sufficient, though it will only restrain your child at the waist. A five point harness is similar to what you’ll find on a car seat and restrains the baby’s shoulders and torso as well.
There are so many feeding high chair designs to choose from, there are even models with cushions, while some have wooden or plastic seats. Parents prefer cushioned seats so that their babies will not have a hard time sitting down on the feeding high chair. But babies have different preferences on feeding high chairs, so it may actually be a good decision, to have your baby try the feeding high chairs first before picking out the right one.
There are many types of materials used in the design of feeding high chairs. Some examples include metal, plastic, and wood, among others. There are also designs that are better suited for one gender or another. Feeding high chairs come in pink for girls, blue for boys, gender neutral designs, and an assortment of animated characters. You’ll have all kinds of choices to buy the chair that best suits your child’s personality.
To make it much easier to shop for a feeding high chair, you should think ahead about what you want and what might work best for your child. Certain brands are known as being trustworthy and creating quality feeding high chairs, including Safety 1st, Disney, Cosco Juvenile, and Eddie Bower. If you look at these options, you’ll see a range of options and prices. While the higher end models are pricier, their design, durability, and functionality make them worth the price.

What items do you envision when you hear the phrase toddler bedding? Some people wonder if they even need to do this–why can’t they just use a regular bed sheet from an adult bed? What is the reason for making it especially for a toddler as it might be expensive? You would certainly be having many questions. Here’s a quick rundown of the most frequently asked questions.
Do I really need to make use of toddler bedding? If your child is a toddler, it behooves you to buy bedding especially designed for toddlers. Your baby is too grown up to sleep in a crib or playpen any more. It is important that beds intended for use by toddlers be covered in the highest quality materials, and that these materials have the proper fit. If the crib or bed you are using has regular size crib bedding for your baby or toddler you might want to reuse the crib sets.
Why can’t I adjust a regular bed sheet to fit a toddler bed? Do not use a regular bedding for your toddler, but instead be sure to buy toddler-specific bedding. Aim to provide maximum comfort for your daughter while she sleeps. Because a toddler’s skin is more sensitive than an adults, normal bedding might be unhealthy for their skin. Additionally, if you use a sheet that is too large, it might cause disorganized bedding and consequently wake the child during the night.
Will toddler bedding be difficult to find? Yes, there is a myriad of bedding choices available to you. Many stores and websites selling baby bedding also sell toddler bedding. There are often toddler versions of your child’s crib bedding available, making it unnecessary to totally redecorate your child’s room. Maya toddler bedding sets is a popular toddler version of Trend Lab’s Maya crib bedding. Available in various styles, colors, designs, etc., toddler bedding is specifically created with toddlers in mind.
Does it cost a lot to buy toddler bedding? The cost of toddler bedding depends on many factors, including the quality of the materials that are used to ensure your child’s comfort and safety. If your child won’t long be in a toddler bed, there are different, more inexpensive bedding sets.
How many toddler bedding sets should I purchase? In most instances, two sets will be enough–one to put on the bed while the other is being washed. You do not need to purchase large quantities of bedding sets if you have only one child. Buying two or more toddler bedding sets will allow you to reuse the sheets with your younger children.
Your top priority should apparently be the coziness of your children. Hence, shop leisurely for your baby’s bedding and ensure that the standard and smoothness of the materials truly impress you. In addition to giving you mental peace it would also make sure that your child gets the most comfortable bed available.

Women tend to neglect their troubles and aches. They as well put off getting to the doctor or bearing routine tests that are urged one time every two or three years. The result is that their health usually gets a great problem as they get senior. There are some health worries that females confront as they they grow old. Among the most general are breast cancer, pelvic pain, menopause (which by itself is not a disease, just it comes with a server of troubles), cardiac prolems, endometriosis, sterility and numerous others.
Attending medico is ok. However, sometimes women need a priety more care, a little more focus, quite more counselling and realizing. Here is where womens health care clinics offer a valuable service. These are sound as they speciate not just in women health care, but as well the psychological science that accompanies these illness and their remedy and care.

How to Choose a Stylish Maternity Dress

A maternity dress has to be a must-buy for every pregnant woman. Even if dresses are something you would normally only wear for special occasions, you will soon appreciate the versatility and the comfort of a maternity dress – not to mention the style!
It’s one of those facts of life that as soon as you let everyone know that you’re expecting a baby, then the invites for weddings, parties and formal dinners seem to flood in! At these events you’d normally be wearing a new party dress, but it seems silly to buy something you’ll only wear during the next nine months.
Well, the point here is to buy a dress you love, but one that is versatile enough to wear at many different events. Perhaps a flexible style which can be altered to look differently, like the amazing “six way dress”, or one that can be dressed up or down with clever maternity accessories.
In terms of style and fashion, the familiar “smock dress” is not at all in maternity fashion! At the moment, pregnant women have the pick of fabulous styles – halter-necks, bold fabrics and bright colours are all commonplace. You can choose a black dress if you wish, but these days, many women choose to flaunt their bumps in scarlets, fuchsias and bold patterns.
Often pregnant women actually find that dresses are easier to wear when they’re expecting than tops and trousers too. This is because maternity dresses are cut for comfort and without an uncomfortable waistband to dig in.
But the best thing about a maternity dress has to be the adaptability. No-one considers a pregnant woman is overdressed if she’s wearing a maternity dress, so you can wear a dress each day without raising eyebrows, A dress with a jacket is perfect for work. Going out? Then accessorize with different coloured wraps or pashminas. For casual daywear, just throw on a simple cardigan and you’re ready to go!
A Mother’s Advice on Picking the Best Baby Monitor System
April 7, 2009 by Jennie C. Hodson
As the mother of six children, I have spent more than my share of time trying to find the best baby and child monitor system. Even when I was able to stay home with a baby, it was still necessary for me to do other things while that child was sleeping and older children were playing. Life doesn’t stop and there is still laundry, dishes, general cleaning as well as meals to make, and other members of the household that need attention.
There had to be a way that I could be on top of what was going on in the nursery and still get other things done. So, I started being the unofficial tester of baby monitoring systems. No, I did not get paid by, nor was I approached by any company or supplier. I tried out different systems until I found one that met all of my needs and that made me feel secure.
It is a daunting task to find the right monitoring system. You want the best for your children, yet you don’t want to appear paranoid. For my infants and toddlers, the best choices were systems that allowed me to be in another room when the baby or toddler was sleeping, yet I was able to keep an eye on them. This was actually easier than I had anticipated because there were several companies that produced just the kind of thing that I was looking for. I wanted something that was portable (I needed to be able to go about the daily chores), reliable (had a really good and proven track record), and affordable (wasn’t going to call for the investment of my child’s college fund).
The most convenient monitoring system for me came with a portable camera that I could locate in any room that I had the baby. I often had the baby nap in her bascinette in the livingroom, or play in her playpen while I was doing chores. With the camera on the baby and amonitor that I took from room to room with me.
The monitor had a screen that allowed me to see the baby all the time and the camera would move to look in the direction of any sound, so I new if one of the other children had gone in to play with the baby. As for cost, I wanted something that was very affordable and found that a very reliable system could be purchased for under $200.00 and many different combinations of systems were available from places that I already shopped regularly like Target.
I do recommend getting the insurance package with the monitor because electronic things have a tendency to short out and being able to have it replaced at little or no cost is important.
